We are a 501(c) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. Our team of trained, volunteer, professional falconers work tirelessly to provide the best care possible for each bird of prey that comes through our doors. Thank you for visiting our website and supporting our mission to protect and preserve wildlife.
Power poles are great to perch on for a good hunting vantage spot but they also present the birds of prey with the risk of a fatal landing as their wings that can touch several wires at a time or transformers whose insulation have been depleted.
Many birds come to the center after being shot by a pellet or BB gun. Some pellets lodge in the the soft tissues while other break bone. At our surgical center we can generally remove the pellet and fix the fracture.
First time out of the nest can be a dangerous one. Every year we get in birds with broken wings or legs due to unsuccessful fledging. At our surgical center we can repair most fractures.
Many birds are hit by cars/trucks every year as they chase a food source across the road and are unaware of the oncoming traffic.
The burning methane gas at landfill sites are very hot, but invisible to a raptor. When they fly through the flame, it will either burn their feathers or kill them immediately. In the case of burned feathers, we replace those with a falconry process called Imping.
Many fungal and bacterial infections can cause a bird to fail. We can assist these birds back to health with medicines and supportive care.
